I apologize that this post is a day late. I'm still on my road trip, which has been fun but with many unexpected turns and changes of plans...so I wasn't able to get this up yesterday. But here it is now. :)
People say living healthy is expensive. Well, not all of it. :) Here are five free things you can do for your health.
1. Deep breathing.
This is so important, but most people don't take the time for it. You can do deep breathing while lying down, like before you get out of bed in the morning. Before each meal stop and take a few deep breaths. Before you go to bed, breathe deeply for a full minute. Just adding this simple thing into your day can make a big difference.
2. Stretching.
This takes a little more time and planning, but is so worth it. I have two brief stretching routines I do. One is first thing in the morning before I get out of bed. The other is at night right before I go to bed. If I miss a day of doing my stretches I definitely feel it. Stretching is simple but very important.
3. Grounding.
If you haven't heard of grounding, it's basically putting your bare feet on the ground. This helps your body get rid of excess emf's, it's an anti-inflammatory therapy, etc. Even 10-15 minutes of grounding a day can make a difference in improved sleep, more energy, etc. (Just be careful not to stand on grass that's been sprayed with chemicals.) If you don't have a safe place to do grounding, you can buy a grounding mat. But hopefully you can find a good place outside for this, which is free. :)
4. Laughter!
Laughter is a powerful tool for improving health! There has been much research done that shows how laughter strengthens the immune system, improves mood, and even works the cardiovascular system similar to exercise! So make sure you are laughing a lot, especially deep belly laughter, which is most effective.
5. Relaxing.
Ok, seriously, I think people today must be the most stressed out generation ever. Most people don't know how to slow down, how to put their feet up and how to just look out the window admiring the trees, clouds, etc. (I'm not talking about "relaxing" in front of a tv or computer screen, that isn't genuinely relaxing because those devices are still stimulating the body instead of relaxing it.) We all need time to rest, to be still, to let our minds take a break from the busyness of life, and just be. Enjoying creation is a great way to do this. Also listening to relaxing music, or just sitting with a loved one and enjoying their presence. Relaxing helps our bodies de-stress, which is SO important for good health.
Well, there you have it. Five free things you can do. I hope this post is helpful, and may you continue to find ways to improve your health.
